Go Noles...

The weekend after Labor Day was spent in Tallahassee for the home opener for FSU. We played Western Carolina and as expected... we won 69-0. Despite the less than stellar competition, I was excited by the result. In recent years we have struggled even against 'Sister's of the Poor' type competition. I was also surprised to learn that 69-0 was the largest margin of victory ever for FSU. Pretty surprising since it seemed like we beat everyone by that much in the 1990s.

The tailgate was a lot of fun. My parents came over from the beach and we joined in with some of their friends from the beach. Little did we know until last fall that they were in the same tailgate lot as us!!!! By joining 'forces' it made it easier on everyone. We brought the beverages and they did the cooking. It was a lot of fun!!!

Although it was just Western Carolina we were still excited to see some of the new changes inside Doak Campbell Stadium. That included the new scoreboards which are among the largest in the country. It was nice to see replays consistently for a change.

After helping with Ike coverage at CNN last weekend we will be back in Tally this weekend for the FSU-Wake Forest game. I have been looking forward to this game all summer as I can not wait to exact some revenge on those punks. Lets hope we have turned the corner on our way to being 'back.' This weekend will go a long way toward showing whether we have or have not.

Go Noles!!!
