it's a tough job...

OK, as much whining as I have done about my job lately, it's not all bad... :-)

As Mauri mentioned last week... we are off to the Bahamas on Tuesday for 7 days for the Bahamas Weather Conference.

Other than 2006, we have been every year since 2000. Since we have been going, the conference has bounced between Atlantis and Our Lucaya. While we love Atlantis, we actually prefer Our Lucaya because it is much smaller and the incidentals cost less. We can spend 1/2 our time at Atlantis trying to get from point A to point B. The nice thing about Our Lucaya is we can walk to bars and restaurants off the property while that is not easy to do at Atlantis without a cab ride.

You can follow along (sin the sun and the sand) at the conference website. You will probably see me from time to time in some of the meeting video. Also, Dr. William Gray, that famous hurricane forecaster, will release his updated 2008 hurricane forecast at the conference on Wednesday.

It should be a fun time. Although the conference runs Wednesday-Sunday, we will be there Tuesday-Monday so we get a little extra sun and sea time.

We will post lots of pictures when we get back!
