If you know anything about television, you know that all of the actors, actresses, and news people wear make-up. Yes, this even includes the meteorologists!! Even after seven years, it's still funny to watch Chris apply his foundation and powder at work!
I can accept the make-up as a part of Chris' job, but I never thought that we would have to add nail polish to the list!!! Let me give you a little background info. While were visiting my parents at Christmas, Chris slammed his finger in the car door. Somehow I was blamed?????
Anyway, his nail turned completely black and disgusting. :( Since this is the hand that he holds the map clicker in we thought that it would not show up on tv. Unfortunately when he sits at the anchor desk, it was visible on air. So, Chris sent me out to find some skin colored nail polish. Then I had to paint his nail for him. Since it took several coats to completely cover the funky nail, I had to teach Chris about the finer points of manicures.......one layer must completely dry before applying another, if you go to bed before all layers are dry, you will have sheet prints, etc... You gotta love television!!!
Update on the funky nail......After almost two months, we can finally see the healthy nail starting to grow!!! Yippee!!!
