On Tuesday (the only off day this past week), Mauri and I went to the ESPNZone for a meeting of the Atlanta Seminole Club. We had not been to a meeting since October so it was nice to see familiar faces.
The main reason for the meeting this month was a recruiting talk by Gene Williams from Warchant.com. Yes, this is the same Warchant thing Mauri says I love more than her!!! I kid you not that if we looked at the top websites looked at at my TV station Warchant would have to be in the top 5! Anyway, Gene ran down our recent recruiting class which was ranked #8 by Rivals.com. Despite all the football talk I think Mauri enjoyed breaking down the plays of our future Seminoles!
The whole thing got me pumped up for football season. I have already sent in my booster money, the schedule is out, and the spring game is less than 2 months away!
As far as the ESPNZone, the food was quite disappointing and so was the service, but the 25oz Big Daddy beers went down nice and smooth! :-)
Mauri was a good girl and did not partake and was the DD. You might want to ask her why she was so nice and gracious! :-) I am sure her response would not involve a story about going to Lobby at 12 unsupervised while I was at work! :-)
Today is my Thursday and tomorrow is my Friday! Can't wait for my Saturday (Monday)!
