A couple weeks after we moved into our apartment the building you see in the above picture was started. We knew a building would be built there eventually, but we did not know how imminent the construction was.
You can now see that the are now several stories above the ground and will soon take our nice little view! Although we of course can still see the big buildings in midtown we have noticed that our ability to check on traffic on I-75/85 is no longer there. :-( Sometimes Mauri will call and ask me how it looks before heading into town! All I had to do was look out the window to see the traffic flow. Now I have to get on the internet to see what it is doing 1/4 mile away!
As I was saying, the future BB&T building is going up fast. There are three stories that are below ground and back in late November they were still a story below ground level! Now you can see we are 2 stories above ground. I think it is supposed to be 27 stories when all is said and done.
I will try and post pictures of the progress every few weeks so you can watch our nice view disappear with us!
