back to work...

Well, after training last week I got the call y'day that they want me to do some on-air work on Headline News between 12p-5p today. I am very excited about the opportunity although a little nervous because I have yet to practice on their weather wall or use their clicker! The weather wall would normally not be a big deal but they do not use a chroma wall like most stations, they use a video wall where you can actually see what is behind you (you can see it in the above picture)! I am sure that will be interesting. Of course, weather is weather so once I get past that we should be good to go!

One of the things I am most excited about is I will not have to do my own make-up!!!!!!! They have their own make-up artists there. Everyone has always assumed that every station has their own make-up people which is hardly the case. Even in Atlanta I think WSB is the only local station with make-up people for the staff. So, to not have to worry about globbing make-up on will be nice.

Well, I guess I better pick out my suit and go and get ready. I have to figure out where Fay is headed.

I am not sure about me working the rest of the week. It depends on Fay and how big of a story she becomes so I will keep you posted if I get any more work after today. So in a way, I have to hope for terrible weather. Sorry Florida.
