We had a great weekend in Florida for the FSU-Clemson game. In case you do not know, my birthday was on Friday (#35) and Bobby Bowden's birthday was on Saturday (#79). Needless to say... there was a lot of cake being eaten this weekend!!! For my sister... that would mean I had 3 (three) CAKES!!! Unfortunately, none were served on her Ronald McDonald plate to add insult to injury (inside joke ;-))
Mauri's mom had someone make me a German Chocolate Cake (yum!!!) on Friday! On
Saturday Mauri had a cookie cake for me and Bobby and my folks got a football cake too!!! If you can believe it... there were maybe 2 slices of football cake and 2 slivers of cookie cake left after the tailgate!!One of the coolest parts of the whole day was at about a minute left in the game when the Marching Chiefs and 80K people sang Happy Birthday to Bobby Bowden.
Anyway, a great time was had by all at the tailgate. Both my folks and Mauri's folks came to the game making the day all the more special.
We are back in Tallahassee this weekend and then over to the beach for a week of R&R (or as I call it... unemployment). :-)
Go Noles... beat BC!
