
271 17th Street, the future home of BB&T bank continues to go up. It is still 25 stories high. They have been working on the glass/facade as well as putting the BB&T logo/sign on the top of the building.
It was kind cool watching them install the sign. They first put the letters on the steel supports and then pulled it up with the crane where it was installed on the sign supports already on the roof. Although the building is finally at its maximum height, I had to stitch two pictures together to get the whole thing in. Also, since I took this picture last week I noticed that the East crane has been taken down... a sign that the building has indeed been 'topped' out.Here is what it is supposed to look like when it is done...

Here are the pictures from earlier building updates. You can see how fast the building is going up. In under it year it went from below street level to 25 stories!!
