new habits...

Isn't it funny how similar pets and people are? We are both creatures of habit (pun intended). :-)

Amber (my cat from college... now 13... also known as Geez) has started hiding out in our pantry. We have a little bin on the floor for onions, squash, etc and she has taken to sleeping/hiding in it. Luckily Mauri picked up on this new habit before she got locked in the pantry and we had a big 'mess' in our food supply. :-)

So just like we go through habits of which chair we sit at at the table, which chair we watch TV from, or even what shows we watch... our cats change their habits.

Another interesting one we have noticed is Scuff now loves to drink out of my bathroom faucet. Not Mauri's, or the kitchen, or the downstairs bathroom, but mine. He sits next to it waiting for someone to come in and turn on the water. Amber has been a faucet cat for years, but this is a nice new annoying habit Scuff has picked up. Our water bill is going to be sky high since we are always turning it on, leaving it for him, and then coming back hours later with it still running. I guess that means we are picking cats over conservation. :-)

I will try and get that picture of Scuff soon.
